This meeting has been supported by the Office
of Naval Research, Physical Sciences S&T Division, and on occasion also

University of California, Berkeley.
In addition, over the last two years the Chemical Sciences Division and the Materials
Sciences Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have provided
generous support.
The usual format for the meeting, introduced
in 2000, includes Sunday morning as
well as Friday evening and Saturday. Invited lecture sessions will have 30
minute time slots for
each lecturer. These sessions will be in the morning and afternoon of
Saturday, and the morning of Sunday.
Friday evening and, if necessary, Saturday evening are
reserved for contributed presentations. Each contributed presentation will
have a poster display and a two minute oral
summary/advertisement.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the meeting on
both Saturday and Sunday. For evening meals, the participants will be free
to sample the the many superb restaurants in the Berkeley and San Francisco
